OurDega is made by OurDega LLC, a company in Irvington, Alabama. This page says what we collect when you use OurDega, why we collect it, who handles it for us, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, write to us at hello@ourdega.com.

What we collect

  • How you sign in. A phone number or an email address — whichever you choose. We send a code by text message or a link by email to confirm it is yours. There is no password to store.
  • Your name. The display name you pick.
  • What you do at the market. The markets you favorite, and the stalls you buy from and what you bought — when a vendor links a sale to you. If you run a stall or a market: the stalls, market days, applications, booth fees and sales you record.
  • Payments. Booth fees and card payments are handled by Stripe. Card numbers go to Stripe and never touch our servers. We keep the record that a payment happened, its amount, and Stripe’s reference for it.
  • The ordinary technical record. The server logs any website keeps — network address, browser, the pages requested — held briefly to keep the service running and safe.
  • Notices we send you. Your OurDega inbox keeps them for thirteen months, along with how you want to hear from us — email, phone notifications, or neither — and, if you turn on notifications, an address for your device that is removed when you sign out.

What we do not do

  • No advertising, no ad networks, no analytics trackers, and no tracking in our emails.
  • We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
  • One cookie, __session, keeps you signed in for fourteen days. Public market pages set no cookie at all.

Who sees what

These are rules built into the product, not settings you have to find.

  • A vendor sees of a customer only a short display name — first name and last initial — and that customer’s history with that vendor. Never contact details, never other vendors, never which markets they went to.
  • A market organizer sees customers only as counts, and sees sales only as totals across at least three stalls — never one stall’s number.
  • You see your own full history.

Who handles it for us

  • Google Cloud (United States) — hosting, the database, file storage for your data export, and the sign-in service that sends the text-message codes. If you sign in with your Google account, Google tells us the name and email address on that account, and an identifier for it, so that we know it is you.
  • Apple (United States) — if you sign in with your Apple account, Apple tells us an identifier for it and an email address, and your name the first time, so that we know it is you. If you choose Hide My Email, that address is one Apple made for us, and we do not keep it.
  • Stripe (United States) — payments.
  • Resend (United States) — sends our email: sign-in links and the notices you get from OurDega. It receives your email address and the text of each email. We do not track whether you open our emails or click their links.
  • Expo (United States) — delivers notifications to your phone if you turn them on, passing them to Apple or Google to reach it. It receives an address for your device and a short fixed title such as “Application update” — never an amount, a name or the message itself.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play — when the app is in the stores, they hold what any app listing does.

Each works under its own agreement with us and uses your information only to provide the service.

Your controls

  • Take a copy. Your account lets you download everything OurDega holds about you.
  • Delete your account. Deleting removes your name, your sign-in address and your code, the link between you and every purchase, and the markets you favorited. What stays is each vendor’s record that a sale happened, with nobody’s name on it — a market’s takings are their record, not yours to edit. You can also delete your account inside the OurDega app, from Settings; if you sign in with Apple, deleting it also asks Apple to stop OurDega’s access to your Apple sign-in.
  • Change your name. Your display name is yours to edit at any time from your account.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. Deleting it removes what is listed above straight away; server logs and backups expire on a fixed schedule and are not used for anything else.

Children

OurDega is not directed at children under thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us at hello@ourdega.com.

Security

Everything travels encrypted between your device and our servers, and only the people and services named on this page can reach what is stored. If you find a problem, write to us at hello@ourdega.com.

Changes

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that matters to you will be announced in the product, not buried here.
